Judge Michael Roche In Robes
Sepia image of Judge Michael Roche in his robes. Born at Barranastook, Ring in 1878. Son of William and Bridget (nee Foley) Roche. Bridget was from Moonamean. Emigrated to Illinois in 1880. Became a lawyer and was appointed a Federal Judge by F. D. Roosevelt. He presided over the famous trial of "Tokyo Rose" in San Fransisco in 1949.
